This weekend I saw Spider-Man with my kids and some
of their friends. I loved the movie. It's been getting pretty mixed reviews
but as far as cash goes it blew away Harry Potter for biggest single weekend
take. I respect folks for not liking the film. It's the kind of movie made
for fans of the comic hero. While I was never a big Spider-Man fan, Daredevil
is more my speed, Spidey was made for the big screen. There is just something
visually thrilling to see him swinging from building to building half in
control that had me on the edge of my seat. Sure the dialog was a bit simple,
but hey this is classic super hero pulp were talkin' hear folks. All in
all worth the price of admission. I wonder what Kevin Smith's version would
have been like?
