Hello, There are two things you can do with this message delete it and dismiss it as random junk email. If you decide to read on you'll be grocking the first issue of Gio's Link List!

Gio's Link List is an exclusive little email list dedicated to the author's meanderings through the vast wasteland that is the Web. Once a month, or at least every so often, I'll be sending out a small list of URLs with some colorful annotation to for your reading pleasure. I hope it will amuse and at the very least not offend.

I'll be posting reports on a wide variety of sites of interest to most rational beings. Most sites should pass through just fine on most "Parental Web Aids", but maybe some won't. I'm assuming you'll be sticking around for some fun while mom and dad (or maybe the kids) aren't looking.

Ah! In case you're wondering, although this list is just another broadcast media, you can certainly feel free to send me a message at gio@pluto.skyweb.net to remove yourself from this list. Feel free to pass this on to a friend who may not be on the list. If they send me a message I'll ad them to our little web therapy session. So please, TALK BACK! Tell me this sucks! Tell me it doesn't. Tell me to shut up! Give me a good link and I'll send it out in the next issue....

So without further fanfare....

Gio's Link List
Issue 1.0
====================

Something Old [[http://www.intrepidtrips.com]]
This one's for all the hippies out there. It's Ken Kesey's own personal niche on the old consensual hallucination ( otherwise know and the Web ). For those of you who don't know him Kesey is famous for his novel "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and he is the central figure in Tom Wolf's "The Electric Koolaid Acid Test". I think you get the picture. Don't try licking the screen.....

Something new [[http://www.pseudo.com]]
Psuedo may very well be the future of interactive entertainment or they may go belly up in six months. The site is a combination of video/chat/callin/email media. They serve up highly targeted video programming where users are encouraged to participate live. While some shows are something out of "Wayne's World". There are a few gems. The "Film Bytes" program in their BizTech section is notable. Very clubby, very urban. Check it out.

Something borrowed [[http://www.theonion.com]]
I guess we've got a theme going so why not keep going? This is one is from a friend at work. The Onion is fun little mag that pokes fun at today's people and events. Think of it as Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" but in electronic format and without the commercials. Recent headlines seen on The Onion: "Jewel Organizes 'Save The Unicorns' Benefit", "Court Takes Custody Of Harley From Unfit Motorcycle Mama", and "Pregnant Woman Killed in Propecia-Handling Incident".

Something ( red green and ) blue [[http://www.hotwired.com/rgb]]
Ok so I'm stretching the theme. An oldie but a goodie HoTwIrEd's RGB Gallery is still attracting some interesting artist with new ideas in digital art and design. Nothing practical, a bit pretentious, but fun to look at non the less. Warning! Make sure you've got a fast connection for this one. It's heavy. The exhibits are extremely sensitive to what browser your running and some Macromedia's Flash and Shockwave plug-ins for your browser. You can get them at [[http://www.macromedia.com]].
