Greetings and welcome to another issue. Before I proceed to this months selected links I'd like to officially announce the "Gio Link List" website now available at [[http://www.skyweb.net/~gio/gll]]. The site is a jumping off point for the list archive and I'll be posting some new features there from time to time. Take a peek at the site and let me know what you think. Suggestions are always welcomed. Now on to the links!
Fire Your Lawyer [[http://www.legaldocs.com]]
Got someone who owes you money and need to draft a threatening letter? Need
to write up a quick partnership contract? Expecting to laps into a coma and
forgot you don't have a living will? Well Legal Docs is just the site for you.
This site features a set of free legal documents that you fill out by entering
information in simple forms. Press the "submit" button and voila! Out pops any
one of a number of useful legal documents. They have about a dozen or more free
forms and lots more you can pay per use. Caveat emptor! They may not be completely
iron clad but there a least a running start if you need any kind of contract
work.
Play All Night Long [[http://www.station.sony.com]]
Fans of the popular Sony Playstation will be glad to know that Sony's on-line
gaming venture has some potential. They've managed to snag agreements to create
the web versions of "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" which you can play completely
from your browser. But that's not all! You can burn hours playing other more
challenging and complex games like "Chron X", an on-line card came a la Magic
or their new emersive fantasy role playing game "Everquest". Check 'em out if
you're looking for fun. Most of the games are free but you'll have to shell
out some bucks for more advanced features.
Be Artsy at 15 Frames/sec [[http://www.ifilm.net]]
If interactive games aren't your passion then take a trip to www.ifilm.net and
screen independent films right from your PC. Or if you think your the next Scorsese
upload your film and wait for the adjulation of the masses. Films can be searched
for by genre and are ranked by the denizens of this virtual Sundance. To view
the films you'll need Real Networks' Real Player which you can download for
free from [[http://www.real.com]]. Have your people email my people. We'll do
lunch.
I'm Turning Japanese [[http://www.j-pop.com]]
When I was a kid you didn't have to be a genius to realize that cartoons like
"Speed Racer", "Marine Boy", and "Astro Boy" were just *different*. "Speed"
had that weird thing going with "Racer X" (his long lost brother) and what about
the Speed-Trixie-Sparky love triangle. Light-years ahead of "Chasing Amy"! What
was bizarre then is old hat in Japan and it's thriving in the US once again.
Take a trip to J-Pop for the latest news on Japanese Manga (comix), and Anime
(animated films). Visit this site and get a good Anime video pick for your next
trip to the video store. Ah Anime! Just another geeky guilty pleasure.
Call me, cheap [[http://www.net2phone.com]]
Some guys in Hackensack just put together a scam/service that is really pissing
